I am an experienced research librarian at a small liberal arts college, who has recently assumed responsibility for the development of a DH initiative on my campus. As the library liaison to the English, History, Communication, and French departments, I have been heavily involved in traditional instructional activities with those departments for years. A recent Library integration with Information Technology Services has allowed for the opportunity to explore new avenues involving the intersection of pedagogy and technology, and I am eager to move in this direction. I have no opinion of Nicholas Carr, but I would like to know what the Internet is doing to our brains!
