Having overseen the digital transition of a large academic slide collection and helped develop the University of Colorado Digital Library, I have experience in collaborating to build, manage, and preserve collections representing our cultural heritage. My areas of knowledge include collection management software; metadata and cataloging standards; digitization software, hardware, and standards; content licensing; and copyright.
While I have little direct experience so far, my main areas of interest in the digital humanities lies with presenting and contextualizing images of visual culture in dynamic new ways, combining them with complementary materials such as text, maps, audio, video, etc.
I have never played Galaga, but I am excellent at all lawn sports. I would most likely beat you at croquet (but that might only be trash talk -- I am not sure who's reading this, I need but haven't yet acquired glasses, and I have not played croquet in a number of years).
